I graduated from SUNY Canton (technical engineering trade school) on high honors and Dean's list consecutively and from SUNY Brockport (Computational Science & Engineering - Business Management) with honors Cum Laude.
I have grown and achieved many personal and professional goals with my qualified work experience of 14 plus years in a professional engineering firm as a consultant. I have mentored and learned from many managing partners, associate partners, and senior engineers to accumulate my experience and allow me to currently manage all aspects of a complete engineering consulting design team in the field of medical and research laboratory mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
I am looking to gain employment in a professional engineering management position where there is potential for growth personally and professionally given my extensive educational and experience background relative to the industry. I'm seeking employment with a reputable firm that can benefit as a team from the knowledge and experience I have gathered through education and professional experience.

Senior Engineer

Currently manage three employees on a design team consisting of a computer aided draftsman, a senior designer, and a junior engineer. Our design team has completed various projects including medical and research laboratory institutions, educational and penal institutions, community college and university level housing and office space type facilities.
Managerial daily activities include field work for MEP systems, system research, code analysis and review, computer assisted drafted documentation, feasibility and schematic conceptual studies of MEP systems, system sizing and analysis, generation of cost estimates and specifications, Green building design and LEED accreditation, and complete construction administrative services including site observation reports.
Complete all project specifications from start to finish. Meetings with clients, owners, product manufacturers, client staff, and construction workers to ensure client obtains what has been designed to code given the current project budgets. Ensure all items coordinated with the owners from various meetings with clientele and code officials are captured in the specifications. Various feasibility studies and reports including whole building MEP system studies, central system replacements and/or upgrades, and central municipal systems.
Weekly production meetings to discuss all aspects of each and every project for including setting project deadlines and schedules, project proposals, budget allocations for man hours, team work load scheduling, and master planning for a calendar work week. Provide professional, personal and moral support for the team as needed to complete rigorous design schedules.
Extensive knowledge of complete plumbing systems and associated central systems and equipment including domestic cold water, domestic hot water, hot water recirculation, deionized and pure water central systems and piping for both laboratory research and medical applications, sanitary, sanitary vent, storm water, acid waste and vent, natural gas, lab and medical vacuum, compressed air, medical and laboratory gases such as Oxygen, Nitrogen, Nitrous Oxide, CO2, Helium, Argon, etc.
Extensive fire protection system knowledge including complete 100% coverage of buildings, code requirements locally and nationally, system restraints and exceptions, coverage, densities, system hydraulic calculations, node point most remote hydraulic system design, residential fire systems, standpipe sizing and design, fire department coordination and design, fire pump sizing and design, dry type system design, preaction system design, and inert gas fire suppression system design.
General/Basic Principles of HVAC system design including building envelope and load calculations, air handling unit sizing and design, RTU package system and design, ductwork layout sizing and design, chilled water and hot water piping distribution system and pump design, glycol reheat system design, fan coil 2 pipe and 4 pipe system design, radiant panels, chilled beams, snow melt system design, hydronic boiler central heating design, etc.
