Established cross-functional operational planning
sessions and weekly strategy meetings.

Redeveloped inventory strategy, reducing costs and
improving sales. Company was spending too much
on logistics. Analyzed distribution network.
Consolidated eight warehouses into three. Led
charge to update strategic business model to
improve sales and shipping practices. Cut costs
from 11.4% to 6.2% as a percentage of sales.

Performed due diligence and post acquisition
integration of key competitor. Company decided to
purchase division of Reader’s Digest that had 2.3
times more sales volume. Purchased data and
inventory. Grew division headcount by only 13%.
Fully integrated operations, moving all inventory
from nine warehouses within one year.

Transformed information systems from a liability to
an asset. IS group underperforming. Replaced
client-facing tech support team. Outsourced
systems architecture and support. Assumed
software project design, prioritization, and
management duties. Client complaints with support
reduced by 80%, systems modernized and
maintained at ~1/3 cost, lead software architect
freed to clear backlog before reassuming project
leadership role.

Implemented cycle inventory counting, increasing
sales of old product and reducing storage costs.
Performing physical counts closed warehouses,
interfering with shipping and resulting in lost sales.
Crafted and instituted cycle counting at all facilities.
Enhanced inventory accuracy and stopped
warehouse shutdowns.
