Sr. Electrical Engineer (Contractor) NAVFAC, San Diego, CA Sept 14, 2009 to Present
•San Clemente Wind Turbine— Generate a proposal for a 100kW Wind Turbine and a 300 kW Photovoltaic system. Conduct technical risks several technologies and site analysis for best site.
•Aircraft Carrier Service Facility—Generate a proposal for a 500kW photovoltaic system with solar tracking capability. Conduct technical risks several technologies.
•$600 millions Camp Pendleton Project—Support the Marine in the design and construction of a large hospital. Generate the proposal for electrical power to the facility. Coordinate with the power utilities for the design, planning and construction of two 8 mega Watts 12KV feeders. Perform load estimation for the entire hospital. Perform design review of contractor power distribution of the hospital and medical branch circuitries.
•Simulator Facility at Point Mugu, a large repair/maintenance Facility at Port Hueneme: Provide power for the entire facilities. Generate proposal.
•Helicopter Service Hangar in Point Loma for 10 helicopters capacity. Provide general power for the facilities that include overhead crank, HVAC, machine shop, offices, and 400 Hz for aircraft service. Generate proposal.
• Air traffic control tower—Perform electrical load estimation for the entire facility and size the support electrical power system for the facility. Generate the Request for Proposal.
Photovoltaic and Wind Turbine
•Conduct SEMINARS of Photovoltaic and Wind Turbine system to the Navy’s Energy Group, Enhanced Energy Group, and Central Group of San Diego.
•Assess technical risks of system, environmental site impacts, initial cost and maintenance.
•Evaluate wind map, terrain, obstacles for best site and efficiency
•Communicate with utility for grid connection requirements and standards.
•Present the proposal to client for approval
•Generate request for proposal for funding
