three-year planning process, resulting in a
cumulative sales growth of $2 billion and $350

Meat /Deli/Seafood: Jan 2002- Feb 2005 Drove
divisional sales gains of over 100% through
improvements in all divisional merchandising

focused customer insights. Created a new form of
customer driven demonstration program designed
around seasonal fluctuations and demographic
patterns. Tailored the merchandise mix to the

One of the first three expatriated senior

grocery merchandising team and creating the
design layouts to transform each of the existing
retail stores. Reinvented the weekly circular
marketing plan. Created, developed and
implemented a private label food program.
Vice President, DMM Deli/Bakery: Jan 1996 – Dec
1997 Recruited to lead the buying team responsible
for the creation of
all merchandise solutions for the Wal-Mart stores.
Successfully built a staff of diverse and talented
buyers. Drove double digit comps and profits
annually. Instrumental in developing the first
comprehensive localized total food-merchandising
plan adopted at Wal-Mart.
Vice President Regional Manager: Jul 1993 - Dec
first dedicated regional leader identified to
establish, inspire and grow the Supercenter/one-
stop-shopping concept. Responsibilities included
leading a group of 100+ stores. Converted and
relocated the existing Wal-Mart stores from the
general merchandise only offering to the
Supercenter combination format. Developed a
dynamic field leadership team consisting in part, of
10 District Managers.
