• Retain 100% uptime on all LSI SAN hardware.
• Familiar with all storage systems and back up environments.
• Interpreting of storage protocols including iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SAS, SATA protocols and hardware that use these protocols.

• Knowledge of distributed/networking computing environmental concepts.


Product Support Engineer/Lab Administrator
Sustaining Engineering

Provide Technical Support for all OEM lab recreate issues that are seen in the field as well as maintenance and ordering of all hardware for the Global Customer Support Lab.

• Retain 100% uptime and optimization on all LSI SAN, NAS, DAS hardware.
• Support Cisco and Brocade switches.
• Support 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB Fibre Channel, SAS, SATA and iSCSI support.
• Work hands-on with all SAN hardware to recreate all OEM bug issues and test fixes.
• Provide technical white papers to team members and OEM customers on all test plans and the results of all testing.
• Document storage infrastructure and analyze system logs.

Applications Engineering Lab Technician/Alliance Lab Technician
World Wide Customer Support and Services

Provide support to the Alliance Group for all set up and troubleshooting of SAN hardware sent to LSI’s Alliance Partners as well as maintained the Applications engineering lab.

• Set up and testing of all SAN hardware before sending to LSI’s Alliance Partners for testing in their labs with third product equipment.
• Maintained all SAN equipment for Applications Engineering Lab.
• Understanding and experience with DAS, SAN, and NAS concepts, snapshots, mirroring, clustering and failover as well as file permission management.
• Attended all project meetings and did all scoping for programs per the Applications Engineering Department.
