ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD EXPERIENCE
•Collected data, ran statistical analysis, and wrote scientific reports on the subjects of microclimatology, wildlife, vegetation, ecology of worm populations and plant growth, and human geography.
•Collected specimens of marine vertebrates and invertebrates as well as the topography of the various Louisiana barrier islands. I studied the organisms in the lab and in the field for a four-week period.
•Studied Biology, Chemistry, and Physics and applied their concepts in various laboratory settings.
•Conducted an independent study of bird migrations in relation to synoptic weather conditions over a seven-year period. Collected the data, ran statistical analysis, drew conclusions and submitted a scientific paper to the UNO Geography Department Chair. A collaborative paper written by both the department chair and myself was published.
•Served as an environmental Response Team member for oil spill recovery around the Washington Puget Sound area.
