I reviewed and ensured that the contract and regulations of the project were as per standards according to design and construction code ( NSR 1998 of Colombia ). I managed and supervise an average team of 25 workers on two different projects, until we finish them. I efficiently worked with both projects at the same time and coordinated constructions activities on the projects given to me effectively. I also did the cost analysis of them and schedule all tasks and activities without foregoing quality to keep the budget under control which was well appreciated by the management.

I reviewed plans and specifications of assigned projects with the construction supervisor, inspecting and taking samples of materials for examination, performing tests of soils and concrete.

I inspected all phases of construction of public works and private development projects, monitoring manpower reports and payroll for compliance with State regulation and the construction code of Colombia (NSR 98). I inspected various structures such as utilities, streets sidewalks, gutters and other off-site construction; check line, grade, size, elevation and location of structures for conformity with specifications and regulations.

Recorded amounts of materials used and work performed, prepare necessary reports for progress payments. Inspected adjacent properties for damage from construction activity. Investigated resident complaints; confer with property owners regarding schedule, hazards and inconveniences. Helped locate other utility structures ahead of work sites. Scheduled service interruptions with least interference and least inconvenience to properties. Prepared daily activity records and reports. Coordinated work with other City departments and utilities. Inspected construction of culverts, walls, structures, drains, sewers.

Inspected installation on driveways, sidewalks and roof drains. Inspected concrete and asphalt at plants to assure the proportions of aggregates and mixing batches conform to specifications. Inspected placement of reinforcing steel and concrete, structural steel, mortar grout, concrete block and brick. Inspected painting, electrical plumbing and installations. Performed materials testing, such as compaction test for sub grades and backfills, gradation analysis of aggregates, and sampling of various construction materials. Determined quantity of work performed for contractor’s payments. Checked to determine if barricades, lights, and flagmen are properly utilized at constructions sites. Assumed personal responsibility for ensuring that duties are performed in safe, efficient manner.
