Monoflo Incorperated Machine Operator
Winchester, Virginia 1/2004 10/2004

I was required to work my assigned machine for the night, and the duties depended on the product that was being manufactured at that machine at that time. There were the standard duties that included checking the product for quality, and making sure that the product was complete, and that the color was consistent. If there were any problems, I was required to notify maintenance, and they would come and adjust the equipment to rectify that situation. I was also required to trim off flash, assemble if there were multiple parts, hot stamp if product required it, label, and package product for shipping. Some times, if the product consisted of shipping totes, I was also required to insert hinge pins using one of two methods to do so. There was the pin machine, in which I was to inspect the actual tote, insert that into the machine and the two pieces of the cover, inspect, and put on the tote, and activate the machine. If the machine missed any of the four pins, I was to put the pins in using a straight bar. Then I packaged the totes for shipping. If I did not have a pin setting machine, I was to inspect the box, inspect the two lid halves, assemble and set the hinge pins manually using the straight bar, then package. Again I would be inspecting the product as it was kicked out of the machine for completeness, uniformity in color, no burns, etc.
