Provided replenishment planning, procurement and distribution for electronic materials in order to support electronics test equipment repair for a large local depot and thirty (30) mobile test equipment laboratories across the continental United States.
Supervised the daily activities of five (5) Material Processors and provided training and technical support to six (6) Service Clerks located throughout Verizon’s regional service centers which included receiving, stocking, distributing, and packing of multiple repair components and materials.
Performed analysis to minimize the number of units awaiting replacement components; whereas reduced the number of awaiting parts (AWP) from more than ninety (90) units to less than thirty (30) units, thus improving monthly invoicing and bettering the customer’s experience in regards to downtime.
By examining consumption trends of existing inventory, a reduction program was created to purge slow-move or no-move items from 2,400+ on-hand Stock Keeping Units (SKUs); whereas more than 28% were removed, thus improving inventory turnover ratios and optimizing operational annual budgetary demands.
Using first-in-first-out data, instituted a monthly cycle count program for all time sensitive (shelf life) items thus preventing an increasingly large number of electronic components that were being scrapped because of expired date codes.
Forged a partnership with the Materials Management and Procurement team that aided our cross-functional team goals of reducing on-hand inventory from $310K to $245K. This was accomplished by incorporating better vendor management practices which included; better pricing based on current demand, more realistic lead time scenarios, and improved EDI purchase order commitments.

Supervisor, CyberPOP (Digital Data Switching/Routing Systems)
Working in concert with engineers from Information Technology and Telecommunication Systems groups, a remote sensor gateway system was developed. Each system was generic in the number of digital in bound and outbound ports, switching devices, power supplies, routers and redundant circuits; however due to lack of standardization in the telephone central office, each equipment rack had to be selected to meet specific height requirements.
During this two-year project, I lead my production team to assemble, test, package and ship, over 750 custom “rack and stack” configurations to Verizon central office locations coast to coast. At a standard materials cost of $28K, the total budget exceeded $21M, which provided a 6% operating margin over-ride for our profit and loss (P/L) group, with a < 0.5% materials scrap rate.
Ad hoc assignments included project manager, commercial freight carrier agent and material inventory control analyst.
