Experience: Gallery Assisstant Cayuse Western Americana in Jackson, Wyoming (Present employment) Working in a gallery has allowed me to learn many new things. I have the responsibilities of knowing about the pieces and artists as well as having great customer serice skills. I have had the responsibility of managing the gallery when the owner is out of town on buying trips or at shows. I have learned data entry, website creation, and how to determine dates and details about antique art. I am currently only working part time for the gallery because I have moved on to something that will give me some different experienes and present new challenges. I continue to do gallery events and website maintenance for the gallery because I love the atmosphere.
Manager Gap, Inc. in Jackson, Wyoming September 2003 to March 2006 I started out with the Gap as a part time employee. Within six months I was quickly promoted to Assistant Manager.I was an Assistant Manager for a little over a year while I learned many things. I had such responsibilities as staffing, merchandising, teaching, setting and achieveing numeric goals throughout the year, and time management for myself and my staff. I then was promoted to Associate Manager where I learned to run my own business. This position requires one to know every aspect of the business, strengths and weaknesses, so that the store is the best that it can be and meets company requirements. I prided myself in having happy employees and a successful store. The Gap in Jackson, Wyoming has always been one of the leading stores in its region.
Office Manager/Sales/On-air talent The Jackson Radio Group in Jackson, Wyoming (Present employment) I started with the station part time in December of 2006 and then moved into full time in January. I have a radio show that now runs during the lunch hour. During this time I host on-air talent as well as present new music and take requests. I do sales most of the day because that job happens when a client is ready or available. Sales is very challenging and rewarding. I love this aspect of the job because it frustrates me and makes me work harder. It is very challenging to figure out what idea is going to work for a client and how you can catch their eye with an incredible presentation. It is so rewarding when a deal comes through and the client returns to do more business. I am also in charge of payroll, accounts reveivable, station management, and personnel management. I am learning alot and enjoying the day to day challenge and reward.
