Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. (CMT), is looking for a motivated, experienced candidate to lead Hydraulics/Drainage design projects in our growing Indiana market. In this role, you will work with transportation, water resource, and aviation teams to secure and complete projects. The selected candidate will have demonstrated leadership and project delivery experience on challenging hydraulic, stormwater, and sanitary projects. Effective verbal and written communication skills are critical.

Responsibilities:



  • Delivery of hydraulic, stormwater, and drainage projects

  • Preparation of design calculations and technical reports

  • Development of construction plan drawings and specifications

  • Coordination with municipal, state, and federal regulatory agencies

  • Coordination with project staff to outline work plans

  • Development of scopes of work and fee proposals


Position requirements:



  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering

  • 5 years of engineering experience with emphasis on hydraulic modeling and stormwater design (Indiana stormwater experience preferred)

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with the ability to secure Indiana PE within 6 months of hire.

  • Computer Skills: Must be proficient in HEC-RAS, HY-8, Bentley/Haestad Software Suite, and Microsoft Office


Preferred requirements:



  • ENV SP; CPESC ; CFM ; LEED Accreditations or ability to acquire

  • Computer Skills: Microstation, InRoads, Geopak, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D software

  • Strong professional network along with participation in professional organizations for continuous improvement of technical skills a plus.
