Job Description:
Being a Director of Operations at Meridian is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to grow along with one of Burger King’s most admired and successful franchise groups. As a Director of Operations, you’ll be a motivator and mentor, someone who can guide and inspire our Restaurant Team Members, General and District Managers. You should have experience overseeing 10+ restaurant because you’ll be responsible for all aspects of their operations while ensuring exceptionally high levels of Guest satisfaction and improving the Restaurant’s financial performance.
*Summary of Key Responsibilities
*Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Leadership -
• Be hands on in development of the restaurant management team to deliver world-class Guest experience.
• Help create and then drive implementation of company programs through coaching, motivation and support.
• Manage with integrity to promote the culture, values and mission of Meridian.
• Plan, identify and communicate key responsibilities and practices to the restaurant management team ensuring smooth flow of operations throughout the company.
• Constantly review restaurant environments and key business indicators to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and then provide coaching to the restaurant management team to take action.
Planning and Execution –
Develop weekly, monthly and quarterly strategic and operational plans for the Above Restaurant Leads. Oversee execution and measure results.
• Monitor and manage Restaurant staffing levels to guarantee only the best candidates are hired and that their training and development with Meridian is second to none.
• Take responsibility for clear, concise and accurate communication of all company directives in order to ensure effective operations at the restaurant level.
Business Requirements –
Access external resources to support and improve company-wide operations including Human Resources, Marketing, Employee & Asset Protection and Finance.
• Ensure adherence to applicable wage and hour laws for non-exempt employees and minors.
• Constantly solicit and expeditiously act on customer feedback to improve guest experience.
• Utilize management information tools and analyze financial reports to quickly and proactively identify and address trends and opportunities affecting company performance.
Qualifications

• Held progressively responsible positions within the food service industry
• Extremely competent in analyzing financial reports
• Excel and thrive in a complex, fast-paced, customer service environment
• Available to work flexible hours that will include early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or Holidays
• 5+ years of experience in roles where priority is to listen to customer issues then surpass their expectations
• College Degree or equivalent experience.
• + years of field management experience. Should include the following:
• Direct supervision of 6+ managers and indirect supervision of 300+ Team Members.
• Responsibility for training and developing teams.
• Coaching employees and developing strong, deep bench for succession planning.
• Responsibility for P&L, Inventory management and labor costs.
• Ability to independently manage the overall operations of multiple restaurants.
• Detailed knowledge of restaurant industry operations
• Organization and planning skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and written.
• Must have a clean driving record, restaurants located in NE, KS, and SD.
