CORE JOB SUMMARY

The Total Rewards Analyst 1 performs simple business analysis using various techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining for the Total Rewards function (Payroll, Benefits and Compensation). This incumbent assists in determining and providing insight on best practices and actionable insights for the current business operations or issues. S/he works closely with the internal or external client to identify analytical requirements. Additionally, this position may handle special analytical projects as needed.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Analyzes data and generates useful business reports.
2. Works with Total Rewards management team to create a prioritized list of needs for each function.
3. Identifies and recommends new ways to streamline business processes based on data.
4. Uses data to create models that depict trends in requests.
5. Works with departmental managers to outline the specific data needs for each business method analysis project.
6. Performs simple business analysis using various techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling etc.
7. Assists in determining and providing insight on best practices and actionable insights for the current business operations or issues.
8. Handle special analytical projects as needed.
9. Researches, analyzes, and recommends improvements to Total Rewards business processes in order to improve overall organization performance.
10. Studies operational and performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
11. Completes standard and ad hoc reporting requests.
12. Builds and runs queries for routine reports.
13. Works cross functionally with operations and supporting teams to provide a resource for verifying key data and performance reports.
14. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards the University's assets.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Certification and Licensing:

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.

  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.

  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
