Hiring a Dispatch Logistician in Delta, BC

Employer: Seaforth Supply Chain Solutions
Position: Dispatch Logistician (Full-time / Permanent)
Position Available: 1

Compensation: $23.81 per hour
Working hours: 37.50 hours per week
Benefits: Extended health and dental

Working Location: 7167 Progress Way, Delta, BC V4G 1K8

Job Duties:
Co-ordinate and review the work of clerks engaged in the following duties: shipping, storing, distributing and maintaining inventories of products
Arranging for the transfer of green coffee (working with transportation brokers and others) to and from external warehouses in an efficient and cost-effective manner
Processing order transactions, manage the flow of goods and inventory records within the ERP system
Support the operational logistics of the organization, establish and review procedures, resolve work-related issues, prepare and submit progress and other reports and coordinate activities with other supply-chain work units or departments
Preparing various documentation including: Bills of Lading, Packing Slips, Customs Information, Prior Notices, Shipping Documents and Confirmation notices
Requesting, reviewing and issuing special documentation for North America and oversea shipments (VGM, weight certificates, load plans)
Requesting and reviewing inventory maintenance (counts, re-weights, re-works, value added services), preparing and issuing certificates as required by customers
Review and improve warehousing processes and train warehouse staff in new procedures
Working within US FDA Bio-terrorism Regulations, including issuing Prior Notices for US shipments
Following up with customers to arrange for ownership transfers and prepare required documentation
Scheduling transportation and routes, requesting and reviewing quotes
Tracking supplier and freight forwarder performance including timeliness, quality of equipment and cost
Analyzing and improving current logistics and supply chain process (by truck, rail, or ship)
Scheduling and managing transportation brokers and other suppliers
Maintain paper and computer files for inventory control, invoicing, etc.
Prepare and periodically update work instructions for all routine tasks



Job Requirements:
Requirements:
Complete of Secondary School is required.
Fluent English Communication Skill is required.
1~3 years of related work experience in logistics or related filed is required.
University Degree in Logistics will be considered an asset.
Prior experience dealing with international and US bound shipments is an asset.
Prior experience working in the food industry is an asset.
