• Understanding of project management discipline and ability to execute basic project management tasks.
• The core responsibility of the Business Analyst II is to gather and define business requirements and deliverables for Enterprise Information Management (EIM) implement technology solutions. The BA II will transform Business information needs for Business Intelligence (BI) reporting to manageable requirements in a cost effective and timely manner. The Business Analyst II will provide information for the business case, manage the requirements, translate the requirements into IT deliverables, assist with validation of the deliverables, and ensure the deliverables meet the expectations of the business.
Additional responsibilities include a mix of analytical, business process analysis, project management best practices, and “hands-on” on data analysis and troubleshooting using SQL queries. Solutions will include interacting with internal BI developers and possible outside contractors to implement customer solutions aligned with the business needs.

• Function as a knowledge owner for multiple business process across PCNA regarding BI reporting
• Understand and translate Business information needs into well-defined and manageable reporting requirements
• Function as the liaison between the business and BI team to analyze, diagnose and resolve any unpredictable and varied problems using various in-house tools and approaches
• Manage and oversee work assigned to completion
• Manage scope, requirements, and changes
• Identify and maintain risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints for assigned work
• Recommend application design alternatives and business process changes as needed
• Own and develop relationship with partners, work with business in scoping the requirements, develop design, document, setup the process of user acceptance testing
• Perform quality assurance on data and BI reporting by writing SQL queries using T-SQL
• Create and maintain user documentation for end deliverables
• Work with the BI reporting team on the creation and maintenance of report documentation for internal use
• Periodically review ways to improve SDLC approach, discover issues and deliver better value to the business
• Apply new emerging technologies in BI to business user needs in order to acquire or design tools, techniques and approaches that allow client users to maximize project delivery results.
• Identify, address and escalate risks and issues
• Communicate key insights and findings to BI Reporting and Applications Development teams
• Assist management with prioritization of projects and establishing accurate timelines for implementation
• Develop Training materials and deliver training focused on end-users for various business functions
• Other duties and responsibilities performed as assigned


Job Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Excellent problemsolving skills
• Ability to multi–task and adapt to shifting priorities
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of Microsoft BI tools (SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services) or similar BI tools is a plus
• CBAP™ or formal Business Analyst Training preferred
• Strong teamwork, communication and customer service skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information Technology or Equivalent
• 5+ years of experience being a Business Analyst
• 2+ years of experience in writing SQL scripts
• Ability to translate business requirements into IT deliverables for data management and reporting using various techniques
• Working knowledge of Scope Management, Requirements Management, and Change Management
• Working knowledge of requirement gathering tools and techniques
• Familiarity with requirements verification and validation techniques
• Experience with estimating FTE requirements and development time
• Understanding of project management discipline and ability to execute basic project management tasks.
