The Jefferson County Internship Consortium is seeking an energetic and engaged psychologist to serve as the Director of Training!
The Director of Training will oversee all aspects of the APA Accredited Doctoral Internship Program, including supervision and training of 4 doctoral interns, 1-2 practicum students, and Postdoctoral Residents (as available). The primary responsibilities include providing clinical and administrative leadership, training, and support for JCIC rotations including psychodiagnostic services, psychotherapeutic consultation, programming consultation, and support for clinicians and program staff. This position also oversees the treatment of outpatient clients through case staffings, record review, and live supervision.
The Director of Training position is a part-time position requiring approximately 20 hours/week. However, candidates interested in full-time opportunities are HIGHLY DESIRED and have a variety of options including completing psychological testing in our Psychological Testing team, conducting psychotherapy with children and adults, and/or serving as a clinical/administrative supervisor to full-time multi-disciplinary clinicians (including LPAs, LPPs, LCSW/CSW, art/expressive therapists, LMFT/MFT, etc.)
Jefferson County Internship Consortium (JCIC) is a full-time psychology doctoral internship that offers doctoral interns a unique blend of experiences and trainings to support preparing future psychologists for public health sector. Our consortium consists of several agencies including Centerstone of Kentucky (Community Mental Health Center), Uspriritus (Adolescent Residential Facility), Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center (Prison Hospital), and Central State Hospital (Adult State Hospital). The JCIC internship is a generalist program designed to prepare interns for licensed professional practice, with the particular focus on public-sector mental health services and collaborative consultation with other health service providers and community agencies.

Primary Job Expectations
Leadership and Clinical Supervision
Manages and leads all aspect of accreditation and compliance with CoA standards to maintain APA Accreditation for the Doctoral Internship Program.
Provides guidance, supervision and consultation to Postdoctoral Residents, Doctoral Interns and Practicum Students regarding their clinical caseloads, i.e. diagnostic and therapy cases.
Provides guidance, consultation and training to clinicians and program staff that contributes to the effective implementation of therapeutic interventions and trauma-informed care within the milieu.
Completes written performance evaluations of Interns, Practicum Students, and Postdoctoral Residents (as available) and provide feedback regarding their performance on a regular basis.
Provides administrative oversight of the Jefferson County Internship Consortium, consultation through case staffings and records review, and assists in completing evaluations of outpatient clinicians.
Assists in the development and maintenance of a productive and healthy treatment environment for staff, clinicians, and residents.
Administration and Clinical Oversight of Programs and Services
Coordinates all aspects of recruitment and selection of Doctoral Interns according to APPIC standards and procedures.
Coordinates and networks with Training Directors of universities in all aspects of recruitment and selection of Post-Doctoral Residents (as needed) and Practicum Students.
Assists in creating, organizing and maintaining orientation and training materials for Post-Doctoral Residents, Doctoral Students and Practicum Students.
Implements programing that meet standards of accreditation and promotes best practices in mental health.
Assists in the identification and monitoring of performance indicators and outcome data.
Assists with providing quality customer service to internal and external customers (i.e. families, courts, Juvenile Probation Departments, Department of Child Services, schools etc.).
Ensures adherence to organizational policies and compliance with all external regulations and standards.
Ensures quality clinical documentation and services are being completed timely and in accordance with state and federal regulatory standards including Medicaid.
Ensure supervisees are meeting expectations for therapy and psycho-diagnostic testing cases.
Facilitates group supervision and coordinates the didactic schedule for the Doctoral Internship Program.
Attends court to provide expert and factual testimony and assists in communicating clinical recommendations to the court (as needed).
Provides diagnostic and/or therapeutic services as needed.
Assists in determining diagnostic and clinical recommendations.
Provides and oversees crisis intervention and management services.
Develops and facilitate trainings for doctoral interns, practicum student, postdoctoral residents, and the community.
Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective therapy, evaluation, and integrated treatment.
Education & Experience Needed
A doctoral degree in psychology, must be licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Kentucky with HSP-designation, and have at least 3-5 years of experience supervising therapeutic services and diagnostic testing.
Must be able to demonstrate awareness of the cultural and socioeconomic differences of our clients as well as value a nurturing family as the ideal environment; a commitment to empowering others to solve their own problems and a conviction about the capacity of people to grow and change; the ability to establish a respectful relationship with persons served to help them gain skills and confidence by maintaining a helping role and appropriately intervening to meet service goals; the ability to set appropriate limits.
Knowledge & Skills Needed

Excellent written and verbal diagnostic conceptualization skills.
