Job Description:

The Opportunity | Production Planner

Plans, schedules, coordinates and monitors products through the complete production cycle. Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements. Coordinates with purchasing to ensure materials provided are according to schedule.

Your Challenge:

  • Develops and maintains detailed schedules and production plans for products and proposal efforts.

  • Coordinates with Program Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, and other departments to achieve optimum utilization of facilities in meeting production schedules.

  • Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop manufacturing routings that incorporate operations needed to comply with customer contract requirements, while scheduling adequate lead-time to meet committed delivery requirements.

  • Monitor production of product, and provide input to management regarding challenges in meeting committed schedules.

  • Schedule DCMA or customers for onsite assembly/test witnessing or source inspection as prescribed by the customer contract/manufacturing routing.

  • Cross train on core purchasing duties to provide backup for GaND Buyer.

  • Responsible for complying with corporate policies, procedures and underlying Federal, state and/or local regulations concerning the purchase or shipment of goods, materials, or services.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relations with customers and auditors.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or related field.

  • 2-3 years of related experience in planning for durable goods manufacturer.

  • Purchasing experience a plus.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

  • Thorough understanding of and experience using ERP systems.

  • Exposure/experience with US gov't contracts and processes (FAR/DFAR) preferred.
