Job Description:
This position is responsible for researching, developing and providing training on compliance and enforcement standards for the combined Rapid Response Team (RRT) and the Manufactured Foods Regulatory Program Standards (MFRPS) Cooperative Agreement. The position also assists management and senior staff with analysis of inspector compliance workloads, response capabilities and resource needs, data analysis and evaluation of program effectiveness. This position is involved with technical compliance and enforcement activities related to inspection of food and recreational facilities, investigation of consumer complaints and administrative paperwork. The position conducts investigations into the legitimacy and urgency of consumer complaints and compliance referrals from other agencies, performs random monitoring activities of inspection reports, sample collection records, compliance actions undertaken by the Bureau in collaboration with external partners.


Job Requirements:
A minimally qualified applicant will have:

•Training and/or experience in developing, managing, analyzing and compiling data

•Experience taking initiative to identify projects, tasks or other activities to achieve goals, obtain appropriate level of support and complete the activity in a timely manner

•Training and/or experience with word processing, spreadsheet and database programs (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access or similar) to monitor and track data

A well qualified applicant will have:

•Experience using comprehensive analytical skills, including effective program planning, policy development and/or evaluation skills

•Training and/or experience with an investigative process, including components related to the collection of evidence, compliance requirements and/or related enforcement authority

•Training and/or experience with laws, statutes and/or rules pertaining to the areas of food safety and/or food-related consumer protection
