SUMMARY

The Business Manager shall provide operational support to assist with planning and developing metrics in support of our client’s mission. The Business Manager shall assist in conducting comprehensive acquisition support activities and Federal Government financial management processes. The Business Manager shall possess experience in acquisition and business operations support services including managing large-scale government projects, be familiar with government policies and procedures, and possess excellent analytical and time management skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

Design and implement business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of goals
Provide recommendations to the client regarding adequate and suitable resources to complete its activities (e.g. people, material, equipment etc.)
Develop goals and objectives that tend to growth and prosperity
Organize and coordinate operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity
Supervise the work of employees and provide feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Maintain relationships with partners/vendors/suppliers
Gather, analyze and interpret external and internal data and write reports
Assess overall client performance against objectives
Represent the company in events, conferences etc.
Provide recommendations to enable the client to adherence to legal rules and guidelines
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

This position has limited supervisory and management authority.


Job Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field; MS, MBA preferred
Must possess a Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI
Proven experience as a business manager or equivalent role
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Some background in government acquisition process required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, AFARS, and other DoD procurement regulations and policies.
Required working knowledge and experience include Intelligence/Business Objects (data tables, query writing, report writing), SQL Server Reporting Services (or other Business Intelligence), Microsoft Access database design/management to track procurement actions, and other Microsoft Office suite applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, OneNote, etc.).
Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development
Good understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work will be performed primarily in a climate-controlled office environment.
May require occasional lifting or moving of items up to 25 lbs.
