QA Engineer-FTL Job

OVERVIEW/GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION
The QA Analyst perform quality assurance/software testing functions in support of products line of applications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Generate, Review, Update and approved Software Project documentation such as; Requirements, Design Specifications, Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Scripts.


• Perform Software Testing and System Analysis of software systems.


• Perform Quality Assurance on software development processes and procedures.


• Perform Quality monitoring on automated system processes


• Define criteria and metrics for evaluating test results.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform regression, integration, system, stress and performance QA testing.


• Oversee documentation and test case feedback to developers.


• Responsible for compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations affecting Company.


• Responsible for participating in quality assurance, compliance and in-service and continuing education activities as requested by Company.


• Responsible for performing other duties and responsibilities as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• 4-6 years of Quality Assurance experience.


• Experience with the SEI-CMM (Capability Maturity Model), SDLC (System Development Life Cycle), Agile Development Methodologies


• Experience in generating, monitoring, updating and reporting software discrepancies.


• Perform regression, integration, system, stress and performance QA testing.


• Proficient in database concepts, writing queries and procedures to ensure data quality


• Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Access, and PowerPoint) and have strong written and oral communications skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server technologies, familiar with Microsoft .NET technologies


• Windows 2003 Server, MS Office, Visio, SQL, Bugzilla and PVCS (bug tracking tools)
