Job Description:

UHealth IT department has an amazing opportunity for a User Design Analyst. The User Design (UD) Analyst I is a hybrid role performing as a liaison between UHealth IT and the constituencies it services to ensure the most appropriate technologies are used by the right people and the adoption of these are optimal. The UD Analyst I is responsible for understanding the business, assisting in the prioritization of projects, and ensuring the projects align with the technology that best provides maximum return on investment. The incumbent will also be able to plan, develop, and create appropriate internal and external communication plans which align with the overall IT and business strategy.

The primary job responsibilities are:

Define information business systems requirements jointly working with management and professional staff in user departments. Technical solutions must satisfy the business needs for the future, i.e., take into account University growth and customer service objectives.

Perform as administrator for department organizational software and tools to include PPM software, the department website, SharePoint, and others. Use multi-system tools to deliver solutions for complex technology needs. This includes programming languages, database management tools, and others.

Maintains Service Level Agreements with the various user departments and enterprise business units. Research new technology solutions and offers recommendations on hardware and software purchases. Contribute to the automation and improvement of processes through work-flow redesign, use of Power Shell scrips, Excel, and others.

Utilize User Interface and User Experience skills to enhance SharePoint sites, webpages, templates, and procedures.

Partner with functional groups within the organization to communicate and clarify business needs, contribute to the development of short term and long-term business plans and ensure technologies are aligned with business needs.

Work in conjunction with the Project Manager to allocate resources based upon the magnitude and necessity of projects. Ensures adequate communication is maintained regarding all project status and priorities. Assist with technology reviews, evaluations and selection processes. Translate between customers and the technical teams to ensure all parties understand, in their own terms, system needs, requirements and technology parameters and constraints.

Conduct high level business process analysis, needs assessments and facilitate cost versus benefit modeling. Build strong relationships across the department and organization to gather content to write and edit a wide variety of complex messages such as system alerts and communication pieces for multiple audiences.

Review and distribute updates, tip sheets, system/application notifications, training materials, and daily communications to end users across the organization.

Assist with and implement communication plans and related materials/media/messaging to engage users across the organization to prepare for and embrace new applications, technology, policies, and processes.

Support coordination of internal communications and help execute overall communications and marketing strategies. Present and report to mid-level and senior-level staff on communication strategies and progress. Participate in the development of publishing, web design, graphics, and audiovisual products.

Act as an ambassador for the team, demonstrating the value of strategic communication and planning. Engage in continuous assessment, improvement, and learning to ensure high impact and success of communications activities.

Coordinate program meetings for strategy and tactics, planning, and implementation to assure all relevant topics are reviewed and comprehended. Inform and engage various internal audiences by developing content including, but not limited to: leadership emails, newsletters, websites, slide presentations, videos, print, and digital collateral and articles.

Identify and communicate opportunities to leadership for continuous process improvement as well as lessons learned.

Identify news stories or evaluate news leads and develop story ideas that demonstrate the department's leadership in areas such as clinical quality, sustainability, technology, strategic initiatives, and more. Assist with workforce engagement programs, committees, and initiatives in effort to promote professional development, communication, performance improvement, and staff satisfaction.

Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.

The minimum qualifications are a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Communications, or related filed. Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.

  • Proficiency in SharePoint administration, including configuration, upgrading, managing system operations and services, and training to support business need.

  • Proficiency in Content Management Systems such as WordPress, Cascade, SiteCore, Expression Engine, and web design.

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, SQL, Access.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, HTML, and Adobe Premier Pro.


Preferred



  • Healthcare IT background and/or experience in a Healthcare setting.
