Start Date: Immediately
Main Duties:
• Prepare, portion, stir and garnish food as per recipe and customer order
• Seasoning, marinating, cooking, stirring food as per recipes, personal judgment and experience
• Follow sanitary and safe food handling practices and inspect food preparation areas and serving areas
• Test foods to make sure it is cooked by using sensory skills such as testing, smelling, touching or piercing with utensils
• Ensure ingredients, fruits, vegetables are always healthy and safe to consume
• Ensure cost minimizing by reducing waste, decreased holding times, first-in-first-out strategy
• Manage inventory and order ingredients regularly to deliver fresh food and minimizing shelf life and waste
• Assist in hiring and training of new employees
• Use and monitor kitchen equipment and appliances for proper functioning and cleaning and service regularly
• Resolve work related problems in the kitchen staff effective communication, team management and allocation of duties
• Track food orders and notify servers of completed orders
• Perform opening and closing procedures of kitchen
Skills required:
• Education: At least a completion of secondary education
• Work Experience: 1 year of related work experience
Wages: $14.50-16.50 per Hour
Working Hours: 40 Hours per Week
