Job Description:
A Direct Support Professional is a creative and responsible individual to collaborate with studio management, studio staff, and artists supported with the organization, management, and promotion of the artists and their art both at the studio and in the community.

Job responsibilities include:

•Demonstrate respect for the human rights of the people we support.

•Assist/support individuals in training programs as specified in their Individual Program Plans and the program activity schedule.

•Provide direct assistance/support to the individuals as needed to perform the tasks of daily living and daily routines such as personal hygiene, dining skills and other associated tasks.

•Facilitate daily activities and routines with the individuals on assigned shift.

•Assist with individual’s mobility as needed for those whose walk is unsteady and/or they rely on a wheelchair.

•Being a positive role model and helping promote social skills.


Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

•High School diploma or GED
•Valid driver’s license and car insurance.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to focus and multi-task, be flexible, and maintain composure during crises.
•Ability to exercise good judgement and initiative in providing services and supports to the artists.
•Reliable and punctual.
