Job Summary



  • The Customer Business Manager (CBM) is responsible for the development, implementation and management of the operational processes in alignment with approved strategies, plans and contractual obligations.

  • Responsible to implement, manage and oversee all standard operating procedures, site specific policy and procedure, training initiatives and quality assurance.

  • Ensures compliance with Federal and Governmental regulations.

  • Ensures the integrity of building management systems and specialized subcontracted services.

  • The CBM ensures customer satisfaction and financial performance across a broad spectrum of services through the selection of qualified team members and their development along with people-oriented management of resources. In addition, the CBM manages the continuous improvement process while meeting the required metrics and successfully influencing required change, conformance and governance.

  • Suggests improvement methods for compliance with regulations, operations and maintenance procedures to ensure conformance and improve efficiency. Individual is the main point of contact and has direct contact with the Customer.

  • You are a self-starter with strong problem solving skills and a customer service focus.

  • You take pride in your ability to maintain high levels of quality, service and productivity.

  • As highly effective communicator, you interact well, verbally and in writing, with individuals at various levels.

  • You are an active listener, able to probe and identify issues and concerns.

Responsibilities



  • Working directly for a Regional Director you will be responsible for managing complex customer relationships interacting with a consortia and, in some cases, government agencies.

  • As a Customer Business Manager, you will have a lead role in managing the strategic operations of various assigned facilities to ensure the operations, maintenance, and vendor management standards of the contract is met in a cost effective, safe and efficient manner.

  • Working in cooperation with the customer's upper level management team and service subcontractors, you will take responsibility for managing overall account operations in accordance with approved operating guidelines and budget.

  • You will serve as the main contact for managers at the client level and addressing operational, contractual and financial issues.

  • You will either be leading the O&M facility staff, or have responsibility for managing our subcontractor.


Required Qualifications



  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications



  • 8 years Facility Management (FM) or building operations experience.

  • 5 years supervisory experience in management, budgeting, vendor management, operations and maintenance.

  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge in one or more of the following; energy management, CMMS, project management, life cycle planning.

  • Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of a wide area of FM/O&M Business, business systems and infrastructure

  • Experience working in a University Academic or Governmental Agency environment is a plus

  • Ability to travel on an occasional basis.

  • Knowledge of Company procedures and policies.

  • Must be a team player, committed to working in a quality environment.

  • Must be proficient with windows computer software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Access)
