Job Description:
Ensure catering food execution is flawless.
Actively involved in menu creation, menu deployment and creating new standards.
Develop positive client relationships and ensure overall client satisfaction with service and menu options are achieved.
Demonstrate creativity with menus, knowledge of the newest trends/cutting-edge cooking while following Healthy Eating Guidelines.
Control costs without compromising standards, improving gross profit margins.
Oversee staff in their stations and maintain the cleanliness of all stations and kitchen areas.
Recruit, manage, train and develop the kitchen team.
Ensure that the quality of all dishes.
Approve all prepared food items that leave the kitchen.
Modify and create new menus as needed to remain effective for the purpose of the business.
Create a variety of new dishes. select and develop recipes; standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality.
Establish presentation technique and quality standards.
Perform all administrative duties.


Job Requirements:
Minimum three years of Chef experience with a strong catering background and three years of leadership experience.
Great experience managing high-volume catering projects and the ability to prepare a large quantity of meals.
Experience in menu costing, menu planning and food preparation.
Creative ability to apply current food trends and presentations to menus and food service operations.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Passionate about quality and customer service.
Very detail-oriented individual and a strong team player.
Excellent communication, leadership, planning and organizational skills
Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
Flexible to work evenings and weekends (when required).
A business focused approach to managing commercial kitchen.
Red Seal or Chef paper required.
Health & Safety Certification an asset.
