Management and Board of Directors rely heavily on internal audit to provide important proactive assessments and assurance around the effectiveness of controls and company processes, while also providing objective and independent advisory support.


In accordance with IIA Global Internal Audit Competency Framework (“IIA Competencies”), as an internal audit professional, you will be assigned a variety of engagements to identify control enhancements, operational and compliance process improvement and efficiency opportunities, as well as company-wide cost improvements. You will also be responsible for the execution and documentation of SOX testing with a high degree of quality. You may also be involved in various other investigations, management requests and internal
audit special projects.


Responsibilities:

Support internal audit operations within the Cornerstone Building Brands affiliated companies to ensure the integrity of financial operations, protect company assets and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of operating and accounting controls.
Assists in planning and performing assigned audits, reviews, SOX testing and other special projects under the general guidance of audit management.
Analyzes risk areas and internal controls within assigned projects.
Based on audit objectives and assessed risks, develops/revises audit program to test the design and effectiveness of internal controls in accordance with applicable internal auditing standards.
Obtains sufficient evidentiary data to support conclusions and value-added audit recommendations.
Identifies audit exceptions, internal control weaknesses, inefficient practices and procedures, and recommend creative and effective corrective action(s).
Holds preliminary discussions of apparent deficiencies with operating personnel to verify and obtain explanations and reasons for each apparent deficiency.
Analyzes findings by applying professional accounting and auditing principles, prepares comprehensive audit reports and work papers, schedules and summaries.
Demonstrates the IIA Competencies.
Provides consultation to management in accordance with internal auditing standards and best practices.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:
Requirements:

Ideal candidate would have at least 5-8 years of business experience with at least 2 years of internal audit experience.
CPA or CIA preferred, or if not already certified, must be actively pursuing.
Must have strong working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance and knowledge of business processes and underlying risks and controls.
Effective communicator with all levels of employees and can work well in a team environment.
Familiar with work paper preparation and requirements, and able to deliver high quality work and expected deliverables within established time and budget guidelines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
TeamMate experience is a plus.
Oracle experience is a plus.
Must be able to travel up to 205f the time, including weekends as needed.
