Job Description:

The primary function of the Inventory Control Supervisor is to ensure inventory integrity of the distribution centers as monitored and updated by the Inventory Specialist. The Inventory Control Supervisor will be responsible for establishing metrics, auditing operational processes, monitoring inventory integrity, and overseeing all work performed by the Inventory Specialists in all distribution centers.



Job Responsibilities



  • Accurately and consistently perform all supervisory responsibilities

  • Support all Inventory Specialist I/II/III duties for all Distribution Centers

  • Perform all Specialist III duties, if no Inventory Specialist III on staff

  • Review and authorize inventory adjustments and reconciliation by other Inventory Specialists

  • Perform all weekly and monthly inventory maintenance

  • Move product ranging in size for various reasons, using warehouse equipment as needed (handcart, picker machine, etc)

  • Audit cycle count schedules

  • Monitor and maintain the IDOC/Interface performance for all Distribution Centers

  • Maintain inventory balance between the WMS and SAP systems

  • Product familiarity and identification

  • Be an accurate and available resource to all operational departments for the Distribution Centers

  • Apply and communicate business process improvements and best practices

  • Perform initial interviews with prospective Inventory Specialists

  • Train new associates

  • Establish standardized metrics for goal setting and achievement

  • Maintain weekly attendance/payroll

  • Perform necessary discipline as required by the Employee Handbook standards

  • Coordinate backup support for any scheduled absences at all Distribution Centers

  • Audit competency and accuracy of Inventory Specialist

  • Perform introductory and yearly performance reviews for Inventory Specialist




Required Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Strong communication and listening skills

  • Mathematical aptitude

  • 1+ years' of inventory or accounting related job function

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Willingness to learn

  • Competence in required areas of the SAP and WMS systems

  • Ability to perform independent research and analysis

  • Lift Operator certified (company provided training)

  • Ability to move and lift heavy objects (pass lift
