Job Description:

The Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) Teams has an exciting job opportunity for a Project Analyst at the Coral Gables Campus.



CORE JOB SUMMARY

The Project Analyst works with the HR/Finance team to design, analyze business processes, and use engineering techniques to improve processes. The Project Analyst uses business process reporting tools to gather data for analysis. Works closely with the configuration Business Process team and provides business process best practices, insights and benchmarks that will help teams across the organization make decisions that are best for the company.



CORE JOB FUNCTIONS



  • Develops and ensures maintenance of policies and procedures for PMO. Assists with project documentation and ensures completion of tasks related to given project plans.

  • Conducts analysis to create new and improves existing process flows.

  • Prepares presentations and status reports for leadership.

  • Develops templates and tools to help standardize project management standards across Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS).

  • Develops reports to track productivity and manages resources for EBS.

  • Creates training material as needed.

  • Performs quality assurance efforts on multiple application releases (including Workday), monitors, and documents testing activities.

  • Provides HR/Finance business process analysis for process improvement, analysis of business requests, problem solving, issues tracking, and resolution.

  • Designs, supports, and coordinates the development of business relevant analytics and processes. Includes researching industry best practices, benchmarks, and tools to incorporate into analytics practices.

  • Anticipates, draw conclusions, and adapts to changing needs and demands.

  • Documents business processes including diagrams.

  • Manages confidentiality of data by following established security/confidentiality standards.

  • Translates requirements into effective and impactful dashboards and reports that enable information sharing across the enterprise.

  • Engages with SMEs across multiple functional areas to gather, clarifies, and documents reporting and analytic needs for ad hoc reporting, recurring events and projects.

  • Determines which data should be selected, evaluates to address, and tracks various business issues.

  • Consults with functional teams on the selection, application, and implementation of metrics.

  • Proactively applies analytical and research skills to monitor trends and elevate issues.

  • Promotes self-service reporting functionality with end users.

  • Monitors reporting usage logs and report catalog to offer recommendations for consolidation where possible.

  • Takes ownership of and ensures integrity of HR/Finance data through development of audit reports; troubleshoot irregularities; partners with HR/Finance team to research, correct discrepancies, and ensure compliance.

  • Identifies opportunities to reduce cycle times and increase reporting efficiencies.

  • Remains apprised of new technology, new approaches and best practices as it relates to business analytics and the ability to generate critical data associated with the business.

  • Serves as a key contact for non-routine questions and requests, especially related to HR/Finance systems and data.

  • Collaborates with HR/Finance team members to ensure system usage consistency across regions.

  • Manages confidentiality of data by following established security/confidentiality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS



Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.




Experience:



  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.

  • Working knowledge of Workday desirable.

  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education and/or experience may be considered.




Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:



  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, VBA)

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and principles

  • Ability to present business information in a manner easily understood by non-financial professionals

  • Ability to extract data from Workday or financial systems to provide and interpret detailed analysis

  • Ability to review and troubleshoot discrepancies on financial data

  • Experience in the ERP environment and tool utilized within the enterprise

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

  • Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience

  • Knowledge of Workday Finance or other ERP System is a plus
