OCSD is currently looking to fill the role of an IT Analyst III.

Under general direction, provides moderate to complex software support to the Engineering Department. The Engineering Department uses a variety of software platforms, databases and workflows to improve business efficiency.

The selected candidate will serve as the system/database administrator for Engineering's software systems such as PMWeb, Primavera, and Bluebeam. The main duties of this position will be to oversee and manage engineering software platforms, provide continuous improvements and integration into daily business practices, and integrate engineering software with other information systems.

In addition, this position will also work closely with Engineering to understand employees' current challenges and recommend solutions including creating user guides, training new users, managing user accounts, responding to requests from users, troubleshooting problems with the software vendors, performing software upgrades, and analyzing data. Other duties will include configuring and programming the engineering software and/or optimizing business processes to meet the needs of users and management; ensuring data integrity, program structure, and reliability are maintained; and performing other duties as required.




QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be qualifying as determined by OCSD.

1. Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education, with major coursework in computer science, information systems, or a related field; AND,

2. Four (4) years of work experience in information systems or network programming and analysis, including two (2) years at a level comparable to an Information Technology Analyst II.

Knowledge and skills in querying and report design are required. Experience with the administration, operations and maintenance of an Engineering Software such as PMWeb, Primavera, and Bluebeam is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have experience with: requirements gathering and design, SQL Server queries and stored procedures, report development using SSRS or Tableau, scripting, and creating documentation and training materials. Possession of a Business Analysis Certification is a plus.


Licenses and/or Certifications:

- Valid California Class C Driver's License.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; ability to travel to various District sites, projects and/or meetings; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. This is primarily a sedentary office classification although standing in and walking between work areas may be required. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. Positions in this classification occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 25 pounds.


ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS

Employees work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Employees may interact with upset staff and/or public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.

DISASTER SERVICE WORKERS
All OCSD employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through state law (California Government Code Section 3100-3109). Employment with the OCSD requires the affirmation of a loyalty oath to this effect. Employees are required to complete all related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
