Job Description:

The Sr. Associate AD for Administration is responsible for direct oversight, policy development, budget and personnel management of the following areas: assigned sports programs, Travel Program, Video Services and Equipment. In addition, the position provides oversight and leadership to all aspects of the department's administration of sport programs, strategic planning, gender equity, inclusion and departmental policies and procedures. The Senior Associate Athletics Director of Administration assists the Director of Athletics and Deputy AD / COO with day to day operations of the department.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Under the direction of the AD and Deputy AD / COO responsible for the development and implementation of the department strategic plan.

  • Provide oversight and leadership to all aspects of sports administration within the department; including but not limited to game contracts, budgets, scheduling, team rules, ACC / NCAA discussions and professional development. Ensure consistency and communication among sport administrators.

  • Provide oversight and management for assigned sports; including but not limited to policy development, personnel oversight, budget oversight and development.

  • Provide oversight and management for assigned areas within the department; travel, video services and equipment.

  • Responsible for the development and maintaining of all department policies and procedures. Work with each department area and appropriate campus entities to ensure all policies are developed, updated, tracked and communicated.

  • Maintains working knowledge of tax legislation relating to intercollegiate. Coordinate policies related to appropriate taxes for department staff and work with human resources / business office to ensure taxes are appropriately reported.

  • Provide oversight regarding the allocation of Adidas dollars to sports teams and departments. Manage the logistics of staff Adidas dollar allocations and distribution.

  • Completes special projects and analyses assigned by the Deputy Athletic Director / COO or Athletic Director.

  • Assist Deputy Athletic Director / COO with oversight and management of gender equity initiatives, gender equity plan and the tracking and reporting of gender equity information. Partner with business office to complete reports for EADA to the federal government.

  • Provide leadership in the development and scheduling of head coaches and all coaches meetings.

  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with NCAA, Atlantic Coast Conference, institutional and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or Deputy Athletic Director.

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree required in an appropriate area of specialization; and five years of appropriate experience.
