CDL DRIVER / WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
Receives, stores, and distributes material, equipment, and products within the warehouse and delivers pest control, golf course, and specialty green industry products to customers' place of business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect money from C.O.D. customers and records transactions on customer receipt.
- Record delivery information on daily delivery manifest.
- Load truck with customer orders accurately and safely.
- Obtain customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
- Maintain professional appearance of truck.
- Read customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product or location code.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to UPS station or staging area
- Mark materials with identifying information.
- Open bales, crates, and other containers.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Weigh or count items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Use computer to enter records.
- Prepare parcels for mailing or UPS.
- Maintain inventory records.
- Other duties may be assigned.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 to 12 months experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Maintain a CDL license. Class B
Forklift Certification or be willing and able to obtain a Forklift Certification with proper training within 60 days.
