Job Description:

The Operations Clerk is responsible for real time analysis and assisting with the coordination and balance of Shipping Operations. This position also monitors and documents some productivity measurements, supports the Operations Manager/Lead to ensure all tasks are ready for the production crew, reports, researches and resolves issues that occur in the interface between host system and WMS in a timely manner, and supports the Operations Manager/Lead to ensure all end of day (EOD) tasks are completed. This position reports to the WMS Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for real time analysis, coordination and balance of Distribution Operations

  • Collects and records current productivity numbers and reports them to the Operations Manager

  • Reporting, researching and resolving issues that occur in the interface between host system and WMS in a timely manner

  • Provides administrative support for the Operations Manager/Lead

  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all Distribution technology

  • Performs additional duties as requested

  • Other Duties:

    • Support Operations and Shipping Managers/Leads as needed

  • Decision Making Responsibilities:

    • Under direct supervision of the Operations Manager, work is performed within standard policies and procedures with little opportunity for un-reviewed decision-making

  • Financial Responsibilities:

    • This position does not have any direct financial responsibilities

  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. May provide routine information and support to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications

  • High School or equivalent experience in a Warehouse atmosphere

  • Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills

  • Skilled at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities

  • Working knowledge of Windows Applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Detail oriented and accurate

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly recognize and diagnose trend and patterns in inventory transaction data

  • Must be able to work flexible hours determined by the needs of the department including weekends and evenings
