Job Description

Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules
Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
Develop and implement quality control programs
Represent their company on matters such as business services and union contracts negotiation
Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients
Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions
Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff
Assist with obtaining work.
Assist with bidding and estimation on new projects where required
Create project schedules and start- up documents
Review and collaborate with Project Scheduler to ensure labour resource is sufficient
Create project budgets and complete take-offs where required to refine purchase orders
Manage and create project documents
Obtain and evaluate contract bids from suppliers and subcontractors
Work with Purchasing Coordinator to confirm best pricing for suppliers and subcontractors
Create and supply health and safety documents to site superintendant and/or foremen

Create and issue start up notices
Request for purchase orders.
University degree or a college diploma in construction technology
Extensive experience in the construction industry may substitute for post-secondary education requirements.
Experience requirements: Min. 3 years of experience in construction industry, management experience
Skills: Innovative, Social, Directive, Verbal & Written Comprehension
