Our staffing services include providing contingent workers and personnel recruitment services, supporting primarily professional administration, technical, information technology, and engineering positions. Our managed services oversee the recruitment and management of contingent workers of all types from multiple service providers.
The HR Generalist will be responsible for providing strong HR consultation to all levels of employees. This position assists employees and management in all HR aspects, such as employee relations, investigations, interpreting company policies and practices, problem-solving and ensuring compliance with local, state and federal employment laws and regulations including wage and hour law, labor law and civil rights law.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage incoming telephone calls from field operations to handle operational issues related to Human Resources discipline.
* Intake and investigate complaints of discrimination and harassment from temporary and in-house employees.
* Perform full-cycle investigation procedures to ensure proper investigation protocols are followed.
* Utilize discretion in closing issues.
* Manage employee relations issues from temporary and in-house employees.
* Ensure timely and effective customer service on all incoming calls and e-mails within 24 hours.
* Interact with clients to co-handle complaints from temporary employees on assignment at our customer locations.
* Training on HR related topics.
* Reporting on issues handled.
* Ability to arrive to work at a specified time.
* Attendance is an essential function of the job.
* Perform special assignments and complete projects as needed.

Position Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
* Bachelor's Degree or related employment experience required
* HR Generalist experience required
* Experience in a large, complex, multi-state company preferred
* Experience using PeopleSoft a plus

Knowledge & Skills:
* Effectively communicate in writing
* Effectively communicate in-person with internal staff, external customers and field employees
* Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
* Exceptional organizational skills and multi-tasking ability
* Sense of urgency
* Ability to work well independently and exercise professional judgment with minimal day-to-day supervision
* Knowledge of federal and multi-state wage and hour laws
* Advanced knowledge of MS Office specifically, Access, Excel and PowerPoint
* Ability to create complex business correspondence
* Ability to handle matters of confidentiality
