About This Position

The Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr. Clinical Research Assistant. The Sr. Clinical Research Assistant will be involved with clinical trials within the DRI. Further, the Sr. Clinical Research Assistant ensures compliance with University policies, rules, and regulations to meet federal, state, and local standards pertaining to safety and ethics.

The duties and responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:

  • Plans and implements clinical research, according to research protocols, to assure high quality scientific results in support of applicable project goals

  • Participates in assessing feasibility of implementing innovations

  • Assesses data trends and develops reports and presentations

  • Supports the initiation of new research by reviewing and synthesizing literature

  • Oversees inventory of supplies and equipment and places orders in a timely fashion

  • Provides assistance in the preparation of scientific papers, reports, and manuscripts

  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent as well as at least three years of clinical support experience. Possess a valid certification as a Phlebotomist. Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data. Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
