Job Summary



  • Our Client is seeking a Lead Procurement Specialist possessing up to 3 years of experience.

  • First 3 months will be based 3 days a week in Short Hills, NJ and 2 days per week in Center Valley, PA for Training purposes. Following 3 months, location will be 3 days in Center Valley, and 2 days in Short Hills per week.


Responsibilities



  • Review, negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.

  • Evaluate and monitor contracts to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes. Prepare purchase orders and review requisitions for goods and services when PO Admin is out of office Solicit and administer bid proposals for goods and services

  • Acquire the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts.

  • Research and evaluate suppliers, based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.

  • Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.

  • Review catalogs, industry periodicals, directories, trade journals, and Internet sites and consult with other department personnel to locate necessary goods and services.

  • Monitor changes affecting supply and demand, tracking market conditions, price trends, or futures markets.

  • Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action. Execute other initiatives as required and assigned by Leader


Qualifications



  • Up to 3 years of experience needed



  • IPRO knowledge preferred.


Skills



  • Excel knowledge is needed.

  • Must be able to communicate and present information to all levels of the organization.
