The Opportunity | Computer Engineer


The Computer Engineer identifies, assesses, and evaluates moderately complex product/service solutions requiring a blend of strong technical customer support, network experience configuring routers and switches, and technical skills. Coordinates resolution of product/service issues and upgrades. With a wide range of knowledge, the computer engineer participates in the overall sales process, pre-sales through post-sales support.


Your Challenge



  • Develops specifications for product/service applications as well as performance requirements.

  • Provide system cost estimates that reflect the organization/clients current ability to purchase, design and build, and helps writes the descriptive document that adequately describes the scope of the proposed system to the customer and to the engineering and project team members.

  • Participates in joint development of system concepts with appropriate members from engineering division.

  • Assists engineers and other technical staff in design and development of products, systems, processes and equipment by analyzing technical problems and working closely to customer specifications.

  • Coordinates training sessions, seminars, and continuing education to stay abreast of new technical developments.


Your Expertise



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering

  • 3+ years' experience in engineering within an embedded systems environment

  • Experience working with customers in a pre-sale and post-sales experience


Nice to Have



  • VX works and other RTOS and general networking experience

  • Network experience to include security, performance and simulation

  • Knowledge of Hypervisors and virtual machines

  • Programming experience in some of the following


    • Python, Pearl, JavaScript, Java, tcl/tk and C and C++


  • Printed circuit design and debug experience
