Job Description:
Region Plat Coordinator: This position is responsible for the design, direction, coordination, delegation of work assignments, research, training and reviewing right-of-way activities of staff engineers and consultants within assigned counties within Southwest Region. Duties include:•Development of Right-of-Way plats for highway improvement projects.

•Serves as the Region resource regarding plat development.

Job Requirements:
Minimally qualified applicants at the Senior level will have coursework/training or experience with the following:
• Interpreting Plats and Certified Survey Maps (CSM).
• Principles and or practices of land surveying.
• Computer software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, M.S. Office, Project Management Software or comparable software.
• Use of Trimble RTK Global Positioning System (GPS) or comparable GPS platforms.

In addition to the qualifications above, qualified candidates at the Advanced level will have the following:
• Must currently hold a Wisconsin Professional Surveyor License (PLS).
• At least two years of experience working with computer software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, M.S. Office, Project Management Software or comparable software.
• At least two years of experience with the use of Trimble RTK Global Positioning Systems (GPS) or comparable GPS platforms.
• Experience interpreting and preparing legal descriptions.

Starting salary is between $49,920 and $59,280 for Senior level and between $58,448 and $69,680 for Advanced level. A 12 month probationary period is required. Due to the difficulty in attracting and hiring qualified candidates for this position, additional compensation of $2.50/hour has been added to the listed salary maximums during this re-announced hiring process. Pay for internal candidates is determined per the compensation plan. In addition, a $1/hour may be added for a PLS license.
