Job Title: General Farm Workers (NOC: 8431)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Day, Evening, Shift, Weekend.
Wage Rate: $13.85 Hourly, for 40 Hours per week.
Vacancies: 05
Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months): As soon as possible.
Business Location: 5889, 124 A Street, Surrey BC V3X 1X4.
Location of Work: 3694, 176 Street, Surrey BC V3Z 1C4.
Education: Not required.
Experience: Not required.
Language: No Language requirements.
Specific Skills:
• Fertilizing and other duties related to agriculture stream.
• Plant, grow and harvest crop
• Keep the working/packing area clean.
• Set and monitor water lines.
• Harvest crops, remove weeds from the crop, sort & grade the farm produce.
• Detect disease and health problems in crops.
• Inform farmers and farm managers of crop progress.
• Clean farm machinery and equipment.
• Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops.
Benefits: Accommodation will be provided @ $30/week, Relocation Expenses & Medical Insurance for first 3 months covered by employer.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling.
