Job Description:
This position is primarily responsible for supporting the Director of Clinical Services and direct services provided across multiple Heartland Human Care Services programs. This position has a supervisory responsibility and is responsible for insuring the quality of care and compliance with funder and licensing requirements in the area of mental health services. This position will coordinate services with department psychiatrist and provide support to the individual program directors. Some staff training will be required in related areas. Individual accountabilities and work volume will be established through the development of success objectives within the framework outlined below.

Job Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct supervision to direct service staff and interns as well as master’s level staff working toward advanced licensing in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Provide support to Director of Clinical Services.
• Assist Director in implementing and ensuring that all licensing and agency standards are being met in the area of Clinical/mental health services.
• Participate with clinical intern selection, including interviewing and screening and placement in appropriate program.
• Provide training to clinical staff (clinical as well as skills building).
• Provides support to management teams and staff as necessary.
• Conduct file reviews and monitor documentation related to clinical services.
• Provides psychosocial assessments for participants when needed.
• Create and monitor implementation of group and other psycho-educational curricula and other therapeutic curricula in program.
• Coordinate and lead the clinical group supervision/consultation meetings.
• Coordinate services of consulting psychiatrist.
• Provide coverage for clinical crises/consultations/risk and safety assessments/hospitalizations.
• Address complaints and resolve problems for both employees and program participants.
• Other duties may be assigned.
