Business Solution Engineer. Our Tucson, AZ client is currently seeking a Business Solution Engineer to fulfill a contract-to-hire role. The position is responsible for ensuring that business functions are equipped with Information Technology solutions that support their current and future needs. A Business Solution Engineer possesses the strong project management and technical acumen - is able to understand the details of complex business processes and use their technical expertise to identify, evaluate and drive the implementation of technology solutions. The Business Solution Engineer is distinguished by the ability to take on the most demanding business and technical challenges and see them through from concept to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Consistently delivers IT solutions on time, on budget and that meet business needs.


• Manage execution of cross-functional plans and track of progress of activities.


• Integrated resource and budget planning;


• Identify gaps, potential bottlenecks or delays and challenge assumptions;


• Risk management incl. critical path, risk assessment, scenario creation and analysis;


• Proposes options to close gaps and get projects back on schedule;


• Compile and communicate project reports.


• Guides team processes, ensuring consistency, transparency and optimization.


• Implements / pulls in best practices to project teams; fosters continuous improvement by ensuring knowledge, experience exchange.


• Guides and manages preparation for project milestone reviews.


• Defines, measures and reports key performance indicators for their projects, enabling teams and functions to measure and improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness.


• Meeting management (sets agenda, organizes meetings, edits minutes).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in MIS or related field is required.


• Master's Degree in MIS or related field, Life Science background preferred.


• 5 years' experience with 3 years' industry experience in a comparable role.


• Demonstrates successful problem solving and coordination of project related activities.


• Demonstrates strong project management skills, facilitation & negotiation skills, relationship management and change management skills.


• Management of complex projects with ambitious milestones in high pressure circumstances.


• Demonstrate enhanced listening skills as well as strong critical thinking skills.


• Strong sense of ownership of assigned tasks and will have a proven track record of delivery on


• commitment.


• Ability to pick up new challenges and educate themselves on the core issues in a very short time.
