Email Marketing Manager



The Email Marketing manager will own Email and SMS marketing to drive sales, traffic, and customer loyalty/retention to maximize the value of our database. The role will focus on creating the optimal mix of frequency, timing, and content to better engage our audiences. As a core contributor of Bob's Omni-Channel strategy, the Email Marketing Manager will ensure these programs are in line with the brand message and overall business goals. As a result, qualified candidates must have strong analytical skills while providing innovative recommendations for content and campaign messaging. Job Responsibilities




  • Maintain an Email and SMS calendar that aligns with the overall advertising calendar

  • Partner with and leverage internal teams to help drive agenda and implementation

  • Develop an audience segmentation strategy and drive opportunities to grow the database

  • Provide recommendations for optimal subject lines and content

  • Drive creation process-gather assets from creative teams and populate templates including creating tags for Ad Server integration

  • Follow through approval, edit, and proofing process

  • Schedule deployments and ensure successful delivery

  • Recommend, implement and iterate ongoing testing programs

  • Ensure campaigns are in compliance with CAN-SPAM and privacy best practices

  • Optimize current triggered based Email and SMS as well as provide recommendations and implement new triggers

  • Further define KPIs and establish stretch goals

  • Prepare monthly reports to analyze data from campaigns in order to identify weaknesses and opportunities

  • Drive growth through innovative strategies




Required Qualifications




  • Experience with Email and SMS design, segmentation, and operational best practices

  • Basic knowledge of HTML

  • Expertise in delivery and engagement metrics

  • Proven experience working with an ESP and Email Tools (Listrak, Bronto, Cheetahmail, Bluecore) as well as SMS Providers

  • Familiarity with online marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics 360 and DoubleClick)

  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills

  • Seasoned in managing timelines, delivery, dependencies, communication across teams

  • Thrive in a high performance, fast‐paced, entrepreneurial environment

  • Balance multiple projects and meet necessary deadlines with limited supervision

  • Experience preparing reports/presentations for Senior Management




Preferred Qualifications



  • 3+ track record of success in driving Email and SMS Marketing results

  • BS degree in Marketing or relevant field

  • Past experience at a Retail or ecommerce business

  • Experience managing robust Email and SMS Marketing Programs including triggered base behavioral marketing

  • Experience in developing segments through a Customer Data Platform or Customer Relationship Management platform
