Bodypoint - Product Manager

Bodypoint manufactures postural supports that improve the safety, comfort and function of children and adults who use wheelchairs and other mobility devices. They work every day to better understand the capabilities and aspirations of people who use wheelchairs .

The Product Manager will work to define the business strategy behind products to meet Bodypoint's vision and strategic goals, identifying customers' needs and defining functional requirements for success. The Product Manager contributes to the Product Development Process (PDP), from ideation to obsolescence, leading the selection of new projects and participating in Product Development project teams in collaboration with engineering, sales, marketing, and manufacturing.

Position Responsibilities -

    • Works with the Product Development [P/D] Project Team to define product release requirements to define the go-to-market strategy, the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers.

    • Develops and manages product launch schedule.

    • Facilitates Bodypoint product development projects to ensure that deliverables are within scope, budget and timeline. This involves collaborating with the product development project team regarding needs, working with them to establish project schedules and deliverables, and meeting regularly with project managers to ensure that deliverables are met on time.

    • Coordinate beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples; coordinate beta testing of new products and features; document and report problems and recommend solutions/improvements to the product development project team; participate in product performance benchmarking activities.

    • Conducts market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends and new product requirements to inform the content and direction of existing and future product lines, supported by on-going visits to customers, non-customers and industry tradeshows.

    • Serves as an internal and external expert for the Bodypoint product offerings, working with the sales channels and key customers to gain a better understanding of Bodypoint's products, markets and industry.

    • Develops in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintains commercial analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses. Compiling and maintaining competitive information for SWOT analysis. Provides analysis to Engineering, Sales and Marketing suggesting improvements to our competitive position.

    • Performs regular sales analysis of newly introduced products and established product lines to provide input for forecasting.

    • Develops sales forecasts, product specifications, pricing recommendations to contribute to business case analysis.

  • Supports sales and marketing to develop promotional programs to achieve product line performance goals.

Requirements for position-

    • B.A./B.S. in marketing or related field

    • A minimum of 5 years product marketing experience

    • Manufacturing experience required

    • Experience in the DME, HME or Rehab industry highly preferred

    • Project Management experience or PM certification a plus

    • Highly skilled in MS Office Suite, including PPT

    • Strong research skills

  • Strong presentation skills

This position pays $80,000 annually.
