Job Description:
Asst Scientist Contractor needs Bachelors or Masters in a science or engineering discipline
Asst Scientist Contractor requires:
 Experience in laboratory procedures (e.g. biochemical assays, spectroscopy and chemometrics, molecular biology approaches, plant tissue culture
 Experience managing multiple projects with a high degree of flexibility
 Experience working closely with colleagues on complex projects in a matrix team structure
 Results driven, self-motivated, and strong team skills with experience working in teams to perform tasks
 Goal oriented professional with evidence of applied strategic thinking.
 Must be willing to work flex-schedule to accommodate phone and video conferences across multiple time zones as an efficient alternative to travel
 Occasionally must be willing to travel to other R&D sites in the US
Asst Scientist Contractor duties:
 Work closely with the raw materials discovery scientist as well as across the Agro Discovery team to execute lab protocols and procedures and deliver consistent results, safely and efficiently.
 Execute experiments and deliver results that will be used to inform our discovery strategy
 Input information into our laboratory information management systems
 Collaborate with student workers to assure delivery of our objectives
 Maintain laboratory resources and help ensure that the laboratory is sufficiently equipped
