Job Description:
We are seeking energetic, self-motivated dynamic professionals to join our growing team.

You have the makings of a great Monitor if you’re detail-oriented and decisive. One of your roles will be ensuring residents/clients adhere to facility rules. When violations occur, you’ll need to address and correct them.

While maintaining authority, a Monitor must be compassionate and sensitive to client difficulties. You’re expected to respond appropriately to various situations.
Your demeanor must be stable. Clients/residents will depend on you to be calm, consistent, even-keeled, and rational. Crisis management calls for courage, tact, and good judgement.

Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Monitor will monitor the activities of the clients in and out of the Center, the safety and security of the building and its residents and ensures the normal operation of the Center's activities. This is a great opportunity to help make a difference in the lives of those who are in recovery. This position is in National City, CA.
The Monitor will need to communicate clearly and effectively with staff, clients, and the public. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, compassionate, diligent, resourceful, and dedicated. The Monitor deals with issues in a respectful and timely manner and relates positively with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Job Requirements:
• Must have a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant work experience or comparable combination of education and experience.
• Must have the ability to make appropriate decisions within the framework of the facility's policies and procedures.
• Must have knowledge of the Emergency Medical System.
• Must have knowledge of County Health and VOA Sanitation Regulations.
• Must possess the knowledge of appropriate search and seizure and urinalysis testing techniques.
• Must have the ability secure resident money within the established framework of the facility's policies and procedures.
• Must have the ability to complete all necessary paperwork and maintain facility records and documents appropriate to shift.
• Must possess ability to work well with staff and outside sources and maintain positive relationships.23
• Must possess experience with safety and security measures.
