Job Summary
The Batch Operations Technician 2 is responsible for ensuring production batch processing is performing within company standards. Monitoring and recording process times, reacting to any abnormalities, reporting said abnormalities to respective departments when needed, and making sure corrective action is taken in a time manner. Ensuring that all processing is completed per contractual obligations and within the Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Job Duties/Responsibilities
* Monitor Production Batch Processing via CA Workload Control Center (Autosys), iDash, and other tools ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met for daily production batch following established schedules and procedures
* Attend daily shift turnover meetings to report/receive written and verbal status of processing and communicate any abnormalities with processing
* Produce and provide daily reports via established processes to business, operations, and management teams
* Escalate production batch issues to the project team and management for analysis and resolution via established procedures
* Participate in bridge line meetings during outages
* Weekend on-call rotation for Batch Processing
* Work with Business teams to alter normal processing schedule during releases and patching

Education/Requirements
* HS diploma with 2-4 years of experience, or AA degree with 4+ years of experience
* Specialized training or education in relevant functional area
* Minimum 2 years of experience within the past 10 years, using the batch scheduling tools such as Autosys, for large and complex IT systems
* Minimum 2 years of experience with Windows, UNIX
* Ability to learn and understand new toolsets and products quickly
* Must be comfortable with collaboration, open communication, and reaching across functional areas
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
* Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
* Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
* Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently

Preferred Experience
* Prior experience with Autosys R11.3, CA Workload Control Center (WCC), CA iXp, CA CLI, MS Office Suite, Putty, and Remote Desktop Connection

Physical Requirements
* Ability to sit for up to 90% of time
* Ability to lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs.
* Frequent use of computer, telephone, and office equipmecant (copier, fax, scanner)
Qualifications



Education:



  • High School diploma with 2-4 years of related work experience; additional training or education in are of specialization will be considered




Technical and Computer Skills:



  • Must have at least three (3) years of experience within the past ten (10) years, using the batch scheduling tools such as Autosys for large and complex IT systems

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Windows, UNIX

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

  • Able to learn and understand new toolsets and products quickly

  • Able to follow written procedures and understand workflows

  • Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice

  • Must have knowledge/experience in service management application such as Cherwell

  • Capable of performing comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment

  • Apply acquired job skills and full knowledge of applicable policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks

  • Capable of working with little instruction on daily work, and general instructions on newly introduced assignments

  • Able to successfully execute multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Proficient in Autosys R11.3, CA Workload Control Center (WCC), CA iXp, CA CLI, MS Office Suite, Putty and Remote Desktop Connection
