Job Description:

Top Secret Clearance Required

Embedded within the Data Migration/Warehouse team, the Business Process/Data Engineer will serve as a liaison between the Data Warehouse and Procurement teams. The Data Engineer will be responsible for providing guidance on data migration, assisting in testing and reporting requirements, and coordinating with Procurement to ensure that data warehouse designs supports Procurement business process requirements and reporting needs. The Data Engineer will also be responsible for developing, maintaining, and delivering reports to the Procurement section.

Additional responsibilities include:

*Build data models to manage and manipulate data sets including defining variables, performing calculations and summarizations, and data visualizations

* Define detailed criteria for analytics and make authoritative recommendations using study results

*Develop and implement a wide range of new and innovative quantitative methods for modeling and forecasting

* Define/validate data requirements and analytical techniques

* Prepare executive briefings to support decision making

* Apply analytical, technical, and writing skills to support facilitation, analysis, modeling, and documentation tasks

Basic Requirements

Minimum 2 years of SQL experience
Minimum 2 years of experience operating BI tools (Information Builders, Oracle, SAP, Microstrategy, Power BI, Tableau, etc)
Minimum 1 year of experience with data migration and data warehousing
Minimum 1 year of customer/client facing responsibilities
Good communication skills (written and oral)
Project tracking and management skills
Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of government contracting or support to contracting/procurement operations.
1+ years of coding language experience (preferred Python or R)
