Job Description:
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
SCESA provides training and advocacy to enhance the capacity of Women of Color and
Communities of Color organizations working to end sexual assault across the nation. The
Program Coordinator will work within a team environment to coordinate the organizationís
efforts to ensure that community based Communities of Color organizations have the tools,
training and resources needed to support survivors of sexual assault.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate efforts to provide support and training (via webinars, conference calls, educational
workshops, etc.) to culturally specific organizations addressing sexual assault; assist with
identification and capacity building efforts directed towards Communities of Color
organizations across the country; assist in building collaborative relationships and alliances
with other national and international organizations that address Communities of Color and are
relevant to SCESAís mission;; assist staff team with the implementation of project related
activities and other organizational activities; and other duties as assigned that support the
facilitation of organizational goals and objectives.


Job Requirements:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have: experience in planning and organizing trainings, meetings or
equivalent events; excellent outreach skills; a desire to work in a small, nonprofit environment; commitment to ending violence against women and specifically sexual assault; strong focus, commitment, and passion working on issues that impact Women of Color; self-motivated and the ability to function effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment; ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and handle multiple priorities
and deadlines; ability to manage time and prioritize tasks, produce quality products within
tight time constraints; ability to take initiative to identify and propose new tasks and
procedures; ability to establish and maintain working relationships with a diverse group of
Women of Color both as staff and participants in organizational activities; knowledge and
ability to work effectively with social media, online training tools and Microsoft Office
applications and; ability to travel to across the country as required.
