ABOUT THE POSITION

The University of Miami Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) mission is to increase the efficiency and speed of moving scientific discoveries into treatments and interventions for better health. The CTSI drives research translation into evidence-based clinical and community practices that improve the health of South Florida's diverse population. It achieves this through educating, connecting, and supporting research teams by building the distinct science of clinical translational research, fostering collaboration, and managing the resources needed to sustain success in these areas.

The Miami CTSI seeks to hire a Clinical Systems Analyst who will be responsible for increasing EHR functionality and integration with clinical research applications. The incumbent will utilize Epic applications and tools integrated in research, develop the research opportunities section within the EHR patient portal, create automated feeds to research registries and support various IT programmatic projects that benefit the University of Miami's research community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience. Epic certification in one or more applications is highly preferred. Other knowledge and skills needed include:



  • Experience with design, build and configuration of an EMR environment

  • Experience with Epic EMR

  • Familiar with Epic MyChart

  • Experience with clinical workflows; in an ambulatory setting preferred Broad knowledge of and experience with clinical applications

  • Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data

  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions
