Job Summary

  • Supports the regional lead by performing analysis of entity level activity within this leading chemical company


  • Performs financial statement reviews and analysis, as well as develops management presentations and status reports as related to the positions scope of responsibility

  • Coordinates with the Company's Service Center (BSA) support areas, Functional Areas, regional sites, and business units to ensure alignment of entity level accounting and reporting issues, appropriate alignment with financial reporting controls, and the annual audit/footnote activities

  • Coordinates/engages with the BSA to ensure that financial data is appropriately reported within the entity financial statements

  • Facilitates reviews and proposes adjustments in order to ensure entity level reporting is in compliance with Group Guidelines (valuation, classification, and timing), IFRS, and local GAAP

  • Prepares monthly and quarterly reports to senior management & information for annual footnotes as well as to support annual external audit requirements

  • Addresses entity level requests / questions raised by the BSA, ZFR/G and/or ZOC/R regarding activity reported in the entity / entities financial statements

  • Coordinates with the BSA, as it relates to the roles scope of responsibility a) any accounting and reporting impacts of relevant changes in the Group reporting guideline, b) the development of the monthly accounting summaries are provided to ZFR/G and ZOC/R

  • Reports accounting / reporting responses and/or solutions associated with the roles specialized reporting area(s) of responsibilities

  • Develops information utilized to support annual external audit requirements required for the underlying entity, and coordinates with BSA as necessary

  • Addresses ad-hoc requests by the Functional Lead and/or Manager


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or CMA preferred. MBA is a plus.


  • Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance functions

  • Experience with IFRS/GAAP principles preferred

  • Understands core financial processes and practices (IFRS / Local GAAP as required), global financial reporting systems, and other technical requirements

  • Demonstrated technical skills in Excel are required, SAP preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing, interact and influence effectively with peers and relevant stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret information to identify problems and solutions, handle ambiguity and change, as well as explore cause and effect relationships between aspects of issues and proposed solutions

  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Thinks logically and pragmatically about issues

  • Clarifies customer relationships and makes sure all requests are met, while building a positive working relationship with internal and external customers
